You can eat just as well when camping as you do at home. Here is a light, delicious recipe that you can make on a camping stove, and enjoy around the camp fire, while waiting for your main meal.
You can eat just as well when camping as you do at home. Here is a light, delicious recipe that you can make on a camping stove, and enjoy around the camp fire, while waiting for your main meal.
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins
Total time: 10 mins
. A frying pan (included in the MH500 cookset)
. A MH500 wood stove
. A plate (included in the MH500 cookset).
A MH500 multi-function knife
. One slice of bread.
Two slices of Gorgonzola.
1-2 dried figs.
A handful of walnuts.
A dash of balsamic cream.
Coarse sea salt.
Olive oil
1. Heat the olive oil (roughly 1 tablespoon) in a frying pan.
2. Place your bread in the pan and wait 30 seconds for it to brown (don't wait any longer otherwise it may burn). Then turn the slice over and repeat for second side.
3. On a plate assemble: the Gorgonzola, pieces of dried fig, walnuts, dash of balsamic cream and coarse sea salt. Serve as an aperitif or starter!
